Lauhala Collection

Our collaboration with a local lauhala weaver

More than a year in the making, our Lauhala Collection was thoughtfully developed during the pandemic through a special collaboration with North Shore of Oʻahu master weaver, Jill Komperda.

Jill personally gathers lauhala on Oʻahu, prepares the leaves, and hand-weaves the distinctive foundation for each patch. Every design in the collection was carefully chosen to honor the rich cultural tradition of lauhala weaving and its deep connection to Hawaiʻi.

Once embroidered, each patch is individually hand-cut and meticulously sewn onto every hat in our Waialua workshop on the North Shore of Oʻahu, creating a truly one-of-a-kind piece of wearable craftsmanship.
